Mayor’s Progress Report
Seaford Mayor Daniel Short will be giving the “City of Seaford Progress Report” on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. Cost is $8.50 a person. Call the Greater Seaford Chamber at 629-9690.

Chamber Business Mixer

A new you in 2002
What’s new in 2002? How about you? “Promise Keeper,” an eight-week session, has started, but you can still join in. “It’s not too late to energize your New Year,” said Carol Lynch, instructor. Sessions meet Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays at 9 a.m. with quality free childcare, and Tuesdays and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Prepaid registration required for afternoon classes only. Historical Society meeting
On Monday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m., the annual meeting of members of the Seaford Historical Society will be held at the Ross Mansion. Anyone who would like to attend and is not a member may join that night. Each family is asked to bring a covered dish of vegetable, salad or dessert. There will be a charge of $1 per person to cover the cost of meat and beverage which will be supplied by the Society. A review of the past year’s accomplishments, plans for the next year and election of officers and board of trustees for the year 2002 will take place. The $1 fee may be paid that night but reservations for attending must be made by Friday, Jan. 18 by calling 628-9500 or 628-7788.
