Seaford Annex Opens.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday evening at the Seaford City Hall Annex on High Street. Mayor Daniel B. Short Jr. said the annex will be used for public meetings, including the meetings of the mayor and council. The project finished ahead of time and below budget, he said. Short recognized building official Charles Anderson and general contractor Robert Niblett for their parts in completing the project. GMB, the city's engineers, share the building. Councilman Ronald MacArthur was out of town and a "substitute" with a photo of the councilman was used to fill in. Participating in the ribbon cutting from left are: MacArthur substitute, Mayor Short, City Council members Grace Peterson, Ed Butler and Larry Miller, former councilman Marshall Nesbitt, Councilman Henry Nutter, former councilman Charles Butler, City Manager Dolores Slatcher, former councilman Mark Berryman Jr., and Asst. City Manager Ron Breeding.
