Organ Donation Program
Nanticoke Health Services and the Seaford Branch of the American Association of University Women will be co-hosting a community presentation by the Gift of Life Donor Program to increase public commitment to organ and tissue donation. The Gift of Life Program serves Delaware, Southern New Jersey and the eastern half of Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m., a representative from the Gift of Life Donor Program and Nanticoke Health Services will be presenting a seminar to explain the process of organ donation. Participants will also hear personal life experiences.
The program will be held in the Community Room of the hospital. There is no fee to attend.
Every day in the United States, an average of 11 people die while awaiting organ transplants due to a critical storage of donors. When available, one donor can help more than 50 people in need.
For additional information contact Diane LeCompte, program director for the Seaford AAUW, at 629-2249.
