National Mentoring Month
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs, Acorn Club of Seaford, met recently at the Seaford Library. Christine Hayek from the American Core Vista Group was the guest speaker. She encouraged us to participate in the Host Program. Adult volunteers are needed to work with young people to help them prepare for healthy productive lives. A mentor means help, encouragement, friendship, caring, and sharing. Mentor a child.
