Tai Chi Classes at Sr. Center
A Tai Chi presentation, at no charge, will be conducted by Dr. Bob McBrien on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. at the Nanticoke Senior Center. A beginners (11 a.m.) and Intermediate (10 a.m.) class will be offered beginning, Tuesday, Feb. 10 and will run for six weeks, cost $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Parks and Rec Conference
The 25th annual Delaware Recreation and Park Society (DRPS) state conference will be held March 3, and 4, at the Embassy Suites in Newark. Featured presenters include: “Remember the Titans,” coach Bill Yoast. For additional information, call 302-227-2800.
Stay and Play for Toddlers
The “Parents As Teachers” program (PAT) invites parents and their children from birth to age three to a free “Stay and Play Center” at Seaford Dept. of Parks & Recreation (SDPR) on Virginia Avenue on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The center provides an opportunity for parents and caretakers with young children to play together and discuss any parenting questions with a parent educator. Other services include a lending library of children’s and parenting books and evening group meetings on a variety of topics.
