Megan Wein is the winner of the Shakespeare competition. She will travel to Hockessin for the state competition in February. Donna Weber was second runner-up. The drama club has a traveling troupe that will visit local schools and libraries to teach drama and entertain. The troupe includes Donna Weber, Christina Altenbach, Tristan Siegel, Amber Dorman, Kim Harris, Ashley Johnson, Jordon Bayly, and Marcella Bingham. The club will present “The Nifty Fifties” on Feb. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m.
Justin Young has been selected by the Delaware chapter of People to People International as a student ambassador scholarship recipient. He will travel in July to the United Kingdom and Ireland for three weeks.
Heather Adams was the winner of the Tech Ed West Point Bridge Design Competition. Her bridge was built at the amazing cost of $134,863 using simulation software. In the model truss competition, Shawn Bradshaw and Josh Griffin built the strongest balsa truss, holding an incredible 96 pounds.
Fifty toys were collected through the Toys for Tots volleyball tournament sponsored by Coach Quillen.
