City plan to be discussed
The city of Seaford is having a public meeting for the purpose of explaining its proposed comprehensive plan and annexation plan. Thomas Shafer, Shafer Consulting, who is assisting the city in preparing its plan, will present a draft on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the City Hall Annex, 400 High Street, at 7 p.m. The City of Seaford is seeking public comments on the direction the city should develop and encourages attendance.

Helpers needed for fair
The 9th annual Seaford Towne & Country Fair committee is looking for chairmen for new events planned for this year. Several committee chairs are open, including: arts and crafts, sponsorship, activities, antique show organizer and recipe bake-off organizer. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31, and is co-sponsored by the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce and the Seaford Historical Society. Club offering scholarships
The Kiwanis Club of Seaford is offering two scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in the Seaford School District. Scholarship applications are available from the Seaford Senior High School guidance department or by contacting Fred Glime at 629-3652 or Ron Breeding at 629-9173. Application deadline is April 5.

Pageant looks for participants
The Seaford Lioness Club is planning the annual Little Miss/Miss Seaford Pageant for Friday, March 8, 7 p.m. in the Seaford High School auditorium. The club is accepting applications for both pageants. To request an application, call 628-0835.

AARP meeting Feb. 14
Seaford AARP Chapter 1084 will meet at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Thursday, Feb. 14, at 1:30 p.m. The topic will be tax advantages.
Widowed people plan meeting
The Seaford chapter of the AARP-Widowed Persons Service will meet Tuesday, Feb. 19, 12:30 p.m., at the Golden Corral. The guest speaker will be Bob Davis, Seaford Rite Aid Pharmacist. All widowed people of all ages are invited to attend.

Elks host bingo Wednesday
The Seaford Elks Lodge has bingo every Wednesday evening beginning promptly at 7:30. Food is available from the kitchen.

Alumni Assn. plans meeting
The Seaford High School Alumni Association will meet Thursday, Feb. 21, 7 p.m., at the Boys and Girls Club on Virginia Avenue, Seaford.
