Kiwanis to host basket bingo
The Kiwanis Club of Seaford will have a basket bingo, featuring Longaberger baskets, Saturday, March 4, at the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the games begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $20 before the night of the event, which includes 20 games and a chance on the raffles and door prizes. The admission will be $25 the night of the event with an additional charge for raffle tickets.
There will be additional cards and refreshments for sale with free sodas. Phone 629-3466 for more information. All funds raised by the Kiwanis Club will be used to support community projects.

Show to benefit music school
The Delaware Music School and the Milford Senior Center present "Jerry & The Juveniles" on Friday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. This group of six musicians will present a broad range of rock 'n roll music from the 1950s and '60s.
Tickets can be purchased either at the Delaware Music School or the Milford Senior Center and will also be available at the door for $10 each. There will be a cash bar, free snacks and door prizes as well as dance contests. Tables can be reserved for parties of six or more by calling 422-2043 or 422-3385.

Wildlife expo to hold dinner
The Delaware Wildlife Exposition's second annual benefit dinner and auction will be Friday, Feb. 18, 6 p.m., at the Felton Fire Hall. Dinner will feature oysters, roast beef and chicken salad along with dumplings, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw. Tickets are $20 per person, $35 a couple, and $15 for those 14 and under. Lee to speak at meeting
The Western Sussex Republican Club will meet Friday, Feb. 18, 6 p.m., at RJ Riverside Restaurant in Laurel. Featured guest will be former Superior Court Judge and Republican gubernatorial candidate William Swain Lee. Cost is $15 per person. For details call 875-7790.

SVFD to host toy show
The sixth annual Train & Toy Show will be Saturday, Feb. 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department . Admission is $3 for adults; children under 12 will be admitted free with a paying adult. Dealer's tables are still available at $15 for the first table and $12 for additional tables. Church dinner set for Feb. 19
Shiloh Community Church will hold a chicken and dumpling dinner Saturday, Feb. 19, 4 p.m. Carryouts will be available. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12. The youth group will have a bake table. The church is located on Shiloh Church Road, Laurel. Call 875-7075 for more information.

Woodland UMC plans dinner
The Woodland United Methodist Women will hold a chicken and dumpling dinner Saturday, Feb. 19, 6 p.m. in the Woodland United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Club offers indoor shooting
Every Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m., the Nanticoke Sportsman's Club offers indoor pistol shooting at the club's complex outside of Seaford. The public is welcome and instruction is available. Call 629-4125 for details and directions.

CHEER to host social
The CHEER Community Center will host a wine and cheese social the last Thursday of each month, 3 to 5 p.m., beginning Feb. 24 in the lobby of the new facility at the intersection of US 9 and Sand Hill Road in Georgetown. For more information, call 854-9500.

Photographers to meet
Delaware Professional Photographers will host the SEPPA affiliated print judging, a 12-state judging, at the Bay Center in Dewey Beach Feb. 25-29.

Hunter education course set
Delaware hunter education courses will be offered Saturday, Feb. 26, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Delaware's Ag Center in Georgetown, and Sunday, Feb. 27, from noon to 4 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Ellendale. Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1967, is required to complete hunter education before buying a Delaware hunting license.
