SHS Alumni Association
There will be a meeting of the Seaford High School Alumni Association on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m., at the Boys and Girls Club on Virginia Avenue. All members are urged to attend.
READ-ALOUD Delaware Volunteer training session will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m., in the Seaford Public Library, Seaford. Volunteer readers are needed at various reading sites in Sussex County. Call 856-2527 for further information.
Kiwanis Club scholarships
The Kiwanis Club of Seaford will be offering two scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in the Seaford School district. Scholarship applications are available from the Seaford Senior High School Guidance Department or by contacting Fred Glime at 302-629-3652 or Ron Breeding at 302-629-9173. Application deadline is April 5.
GOP women to meet
The Seaford Republican Women will meet Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Seaford Golf and Country Club at 10:30 a.m. Raymond Clatworthy will be the speaker. Clatworthy is running against Joe Biden for the U.S. Senate Seat, and will be sharing information about his plans. Guest are always welcome and encouraged. Seaford Pageants planned
The Seaford Lioness Club is currently planning the annual Little Miss/Miss Seaford Pageants, which will be held on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. in the Seaford High School auditorium. The club is accepting applications for both pageants at this time. For more information or an application, call 628-0835.
Seaford Elks Dinner-Auction
On Saturday, March 9, Seaford Elks Lodge #2458 will hold its 7th Annual Oyster & Ham Dinner/Auction/Dance. The evening will begin with dinner at 6:30, followed by benefit auction and entertainment by “Hawaiian George.” Tickets $12 each limited to 150. Cutoff will be March 4. No tickets at the door. All proceeds will go to support the Elks National Foundation which provides more than $13 million annually to support our many charitable programs to include more than $3 million in the form of scholarships for our youth.
