Attention Veterans
Any veteran who would like to participate in the July 4th parade please call Jim Allen at 875-5351. If you are unable to walk that far you can ride on the float. Also, we need uniforms — Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, WACS, WAVES, and Nurses. We would appreciate your help.

Irish Night is March 2
The traditional Irish music group, Celtic Harvest, will be featured at an “Irish Night at the Archives” sponsored by the Friends of the Delaware Archives. A variety of documents that may be used in researching Irish roots will also be on display. The free event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at the Delaware Public Archives, 121 Duke of York St., Dover. For details call (302) 744-5047 or email tsummers@state.de.us.
Auxiliary oyster dinner
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Blades Fire Company will be selling oyster sandwiches and oyster platters at the Blades Fire Hall on the corner of Cannon and Fifth streets, Saturday, March 2, starting at 11 a.m. This is take out orders, call 629-4896 and place your order, or come in and place your order.The menu will consist of: Oyster sandwich, $5; oyster platters, with fresh fries, cole slaw, chicken salad, $8; chicken salad sandwich, $2; homemade vegetable beef soup, $2 a cup. Cooking Show March 2
Broadcreek Grange, Rt. 9, Laurel, welcomes the public to a cooking show March 2, 10:30 a.m. Featuring Ingred Holmes of Channel 16 fame. Ingred will be cooking several healthy and interesting dishes. Concord UMC lot owners
Notice to Concord United Methodist Church lot owners: If you desire to keep any grave decorations, please have them removed by March 8, after which time the cemetery will be cleaned for the Easter season. This will be the only notice.
