Nanticoke holds annual Cholesterol Screening
On Wednesday, Feb. 20, Nanticoke Memorial Hospital held its Annual Cholesterol Screening. Nearly 200 people turned out to check their cholesterol levels. This year two types of tests were offered. Participants were able to select from a non-fasting Cholesterol Screening test and a 12-hour fasting Lipid Profile test. The Cholesterol screening test provides participants with a total cholesterol number. The Lipid Profile test includes a breakdown of the HDL, LDL and Triglyceride levels. Nanticoke will be offering Cholesterol screenings again on Thursday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 2, from 7:30 - 10 a.m. in the Community Room of the hospital. No registration is required.
