Fibromyalgia Support Group meets March 11
The Sussex Fibromyalgia Support Group will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, in the Employee Dining Room of the Wesley Wellness Center. The program will include a “Stretching” video by the Oregon Fibromyalgia Association Relatives and friends are welcome. For further information, call Jonathan Souder at 629-4593.

Nanticoke Hospital Auxiliary to meet March 12
The monthly meeting of the Nanticoke Health Services Auxiliary will be held Wednesday, March 12, at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. at a cost of $10. Pat Olekszyk, president of the Auxiliary, will conduct the business meeting immediately following the luncheon. She encourages the members to bring a friend as they may wish to join and volunteer at the hospital. Dr. Angel Alicea, a Nanticoke cardiologist, will be the guest speaker and his topic is Heart Disease in Women. Reservations are required. Nurses home study courses through Delaware Tech
Nurses who have family or work commitments that make attending seminars difficult can meet continuing education requirements with home study courses offered by Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus, Georgetown. Nurses in ambulatory care, home health care, long term care and hospital settings can benefit from these courses. Topics covered include assessment of the geriatric patient, avoiding medication errors, delegation, time management, and writing skills, and assertiveness in nursing. Each course consists of a written program and a post-test; students will receive individual feedback from the instructor after the post-test. Dates and times can be conveniently arranged throughout the semester. Students can earn 6 contact hours for each completed course; the cost is $59.
