Church plans trip to theater
Bethel United Methodist Church, Bethel, is planning a bus trip to Sight & Sound Theatre, Lancaster, Pa., to see “Daniel, a Dream, a Den, a Deliverer” on Saturday, April 13. The show will be at 1 p.m. The group will stop for dinner at the historic Strasburg Inn at 4:15 p.m. Price is $84 per person. Ministerium serving hot meals
The Greater Laurel Ministerium is serving hot meals every Friday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Centenary United Methodist Church, West and Poplar streets. The meal is a free outreach ministry of the churches of Laurel, providing not only a hot meal, but a brief devotional as well. For more information call 875-4233 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Dinner to feature dumplings
Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel, will hold a chicken and dumpling dinner Saturday, March 9, 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the church office. They are $7, $3.50 for children 6 to 12. Children under 6 will be admitted free. Tickets will also be available at the door, for $8 each. Carry-out dinners will be served.

St. George’s to host luncheon
St. George’s United Methodist Church, between Laurel and Delmar, is holding a luncheon Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plants will also be for sale.

Breakfast, lunch planned
Line United Methodist Church, Rt. 54, east of Delmar will serve breakfast Saturday, March 9, 7 to 10:30 a.m., and lunch from 10:30 a.m. with oysters, sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade ice cream and cake.

St. Stephens plans breakfast
St. Stephens United Methodist Church, State Street, Delmar, will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast Saturday, March 16, 7 to 10 a.m., at Camelot Hall. Price for adults is $5, $3 for children ages 4-11, $3. Children under 4 will be admitted free. Carry outs will be available. Baked sale items will also be available. Raffle tickets are on sale for a Longaberger basket, free gasoline, a large pizza and a $50 savings bond. Drawings will be held March 30.

Dumplings to be served
Laurel Wesleyan Church, north of Laurel on alternate US 13, will host a chicken and dumpling dinner and dessert auction Saturday, March 16, 6 p.m. Admission for adults is $6, $3 for children ages 3 to 9. Children under 2 years old will be admitted free. Proceeds will benefit the “Acquire the Fire” Youth Convention trip to Baltimore. Proceeds from a dessert auction will benefit the fund for a new youth/multi-purpose facility.
Bethany Church plans buffet
Bethany Church, Lowes Crossroads near Millsboro, will hold a fried chicken buffet Saturday, March 16. Cost for is adults and carryouts, $8.50; for children $4. Serving will be from 2 to 6 p.m. A bake table will be available.

Four-night revival planned
Family Enrichment & Deliverance Center Inc., 538 East 4th St., Laurel, will hold Four Holy Ghost Powered Nights, March 20, 21, 22, 23, at 7 p.m. Pastor Anthony T. Flowers will speak. For details, call 875-4227.

St. Stephen’s will hold dinner
St. STephen’s United Methodist Church, State Street in Delmar, will hold its annual chicken and crust dinner Saturday, March 23, in camelot Hall. The dinner will begin at 4 p.m. and will continue until 7 p.m. The price of adult tickets will be $7 and children will be $3.50. Church holding fundraiser
Christ the Cornerstone Community Church, 28714 Seaford Road (the corner of 13A and Bethel roads) in Laurel, is selling cookie dough, soft pretzels, cheesecakes, coffee, teas and hot chocolate. Roast beef dinner planned
A roast beef dinner, with dessert and beverage included, will be held at St. John’s United Methodist Church fellowship hall, Pine and Third streets, Seaford, Saturday, March 9, 4 to 6 p.m., sponsored by the Dorcas Circle. Bethel Church to host lunch
A luncheon will be Saturday, March 9, at Bethel Church Community House, west of Seaford near Oak Grove, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call Lucy Slacum, 629-7117, for details.

Cemetery flowers due to go
All Christmas decorations must be removed from the Bethel United Methodist Church cemeteries by March 15.

Prayer training starts tonight
A 13-week intercessory prayer training will get under way at River of Life Christian Center, 17 West Market St., Greenwood, today, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to intercede in prayer more effectively for others. Cost is $15. For details, call 349-9420.

Woodland plans youth day
A service for young people will be held at Woodland United Methodist Church Sunday, March 10, at 9 a.m. The speaker will be Mike Truitt and music will be provided by “Salt Treated.” The church is located by the Woodland Ferry. For details, call Bob Robinson at 875-9124.

Trustees get special service
Foggie A.M.E. Zion Church, Bridgeville, will hold Trustee Day service Sunday, March 10, 3:30 p.m. The Rev. M. Luther Hill of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, Salisbury, Md., will speak.
