Laurel Lions host Variety Show, March 20-21-22
The Laurel Lions Club annual Variety Show, “American Bandstand,” will be held on March 20, 21, and 22, at 7:30 p.m., at Laurel High School, S. Central Avenue, Laurel. See “Stars” from the 50s to the present… Geared for the whole family, the show is full of comedy, singing, costumes and the unexpected. Get your tickets early by calling 302-875-5051. Proceeds benefit Laurel Lions community service projects.
Lioness raffle tickets
The Laurel Lioness Club members are selling raffle tickets for a “Springfest Weekend” in Ocean City. The winner will receive a two-night stay in a condominium and $200 in cash. The winning ticket will be drawn on April 3. Contact any Lioness member for tickets. Tickets are also available at His and Hers Salon.
Laurel Lioness theater
The Laurel Lioness Club will hold its annual Dessert Theater on April 12 in the Laurel High School. Entertainment will be provided by the Delaware Federation of Women’s Clubs Tri-County Chorus. Tickets are $8 per person and available from any Lioness member. For table reservations call 875-3055.
Miss & Little Miss Laurel
Miss and Little Miss Laurel pageant will be held at Laurel Senior High School, on April 26, 7 p.m. Applications are available at the Laurel Library, Todd Income Tax, and Christ United Methodist Church. For information call Carol, 875-7114. Application deadline is April 15. Sponsored by the Laurel Exchange Club.
Tuesday, March 25, 6:30 p.m. - Family Story Hour. For families with children of all ages. Interested children are invited to read a poem of short story.

Class of 1968
The Laurel High School Class of 1968 is planning a class reunion to be held on May 24. The following classmates have not been located: Sharon Arvey, Arthur Barker, Lois Blango, Robert Faulcon, Nolan Hearn, Bonnie Hill, Debbie Hill, Kenneth Johnson, Mary LeCates Kimmler, Robert Nichols, Alan O’Neal, Darlene Polk Moore, Vickie Towers Sanders, Denver Tull, Alton West, and John Snead. Chicken Barbeque tickets
The Laurel High School class of 2004 is selling Chicken Barbeque on April 19, at $5 a meal. Tickets will be pre-sold the weeks of March 24 and March 31. See any member of the junior class for tickets or call the school, extension 240. To pick up meals (or to buy additional meals) come visit the stand on the corner of Rt. 13 and Rt. 24 on April 19, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Also the class of 2004 is selling “Bulldog Country” license plates featuring a picture of a bulldog with an American flag background. These license plates will be on sale soon at the low price of $5 each. Please support your bulldogs and specifically the junior class by purchasing yours.
