Easter egg hunt set
The Delmar Kiwanis Club will hold an Easter egg hunt for children 1 through 10 Saturday, March 23, 1 p.m. at the Delmar High School football field. Rain date is Saturday, March 30.

Kiwanis to hold yard sale
The Delmar Kiwanis Club will sponsor a yard sale in front of Camelot Hall (next to St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church) on State Street in Delmar on April 6, starting at 6 a.m. To donate to the yard sale, call Alvin Palmer at 846-3728 or Jack Lynch at 410-896-9067. They will arrange to pick up donated items. All money raised from the yard sale will be used to fund community projects and meet community needs.
Teacher nominations due
The Delmar School District is accepting nominations for the 2003 Teacher of the Year Award. Nominees should be skillful and dedicated teachers, grades 6 though 12, who plan to continue as teachers. Personnel whose main responsibilities are administrative or supervisory, such as principals and guidance counselors, are not eligible. Nominees should have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and co-workers. The nominee must have been in the district more than three years. (Nominees having transferred from another Delaware School District must have been in the district more than two years.) Nomination forms are available in the school office, school library, and the Delmar Public Library. Nominations must be submitted with the consent of the nominee to Charity Phillips at the Delmar District office by noon Thursday, March 28.

Golf tournament set
The ninth annual Delmar Lions Club golf tournament to raise money for scholarships for Delmar High School seniors will be Friday, March 29, 9 a.m. at Beach Club Golf Links. Donations of prizes are being accepted. For details call Dave Burton, 846-2272, or Doug Carey (410) 860-8703.
