Quit smoking seminars at Delaware Tech April 20 and May 12
Donít be discouraged ó you can kick the smoking habit! Two smoking cessation seminars offered this spring at Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus, may hold the key to helping you succeed. A one-session meeting focusing on hypnosis techniques for quitting will be held on April 20 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Anne Connor, DCH, explains how hypnosis can free you from the cigarette habit without withdrawal, anxiety, or weight gain even if previous attempts to quit have failed. The American Medical Association recognizes hypnosis as a safe, quick, and effective way of kicking the smoking habit. A free cassette tape helps reinforce what you learn in the seminar. A new four-session program scheduled for Wednesdays from May 12 to June 2 is available at two convenient times, from 10 a.m. to noon or 6 to 8 p.m. It is designed to help smokers understand the effects of tobacco, explore strategies for quitting, and learn about the benefits of living smoke-free lives. Participants may attend individual sessions or save money by signing up for all four weeks. For complete information, or to register for either program, contact Lori Westcott at 855-5988.
