Post office open for filing deadline The Seaford Post Office will be open until 8 p.m. on April 17 to help taxpayers meet the IRS filing deadline. Postmaster Rob Kern added that the collection boxes in front of the post office will be collected at midnight and will be postmarked with the April 17 date. The Georgetown Post Office will be open until midnight on April 17.
Seaford annexation vote April 18 An annexation election will be held at Seaford City Hall between 2 and 6 p.m. on April 18. Eight parcels of land are included in the annexation, seven along US 13, and one Atlanta Road property owned by the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department. One of the properties is the Smoot Farm (108 acres), a parcel being negotiated between realtor Tommy Cooper and a Maryland developer for a grocery store, theater complex and other shops.
