Bi-Staters Coffee Talk
In my last week’s column, I misspelled Connie Wickham’s new husband's name as Frank Adams. It should had read Frank Adkins. I do apologize.
I would like to send get-well wishes for a speedy recovery to Nancy Brown after her recent surgery.

Britt’s Dutch Inn is a favorite gathering place for a group of women called the “Breakfast Group.” The group that started this weekly gathering in 1977 was Connie Whaley, Marlene Collins, Louise Warrington and Gladys Hastings.
To this day, they meet every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and on some weeks there could be as many as 16 women meeting for breakfast. I have had the pleasure of joining them in the past and felt a great warmth among friends.
Annabel Cordrey didn’t let the weather stand in her way for celebrating Easter dinner with her family at her home. Every year she has an Easter egg hunt for her great-grandchildren the day of her dinner. This year, she was in a dilemma. How was she going to hide her eggs when the weather was so messy outside? Guess what she did? A very brave thing. She hid her eggs — 48 of them — inside her house. The children were really good — they found the eggs without running or tearing anything up and were really happy with the prizes they found inside their eggs. That’s a special “Granny” (as she is called).
