Post Office holding food drive - The Postal Service, in conjunction with the National Association of Letter Carriers, will be collecting non-perishable food items on Saturday, May 10, for distribution to Food Banks in Delaware. All food items collected in the Seaford area will be sent to the Saint John’s Food Bank for distribution to the needy in the community, said Robert M. Kern, Postmaster. Although items will be collected from your mailbox on May 10 only, you can make a donation and deposit your non-perishable items in the lobby of the Seaford Post Office from Wednesday, May 7, through Monday, May 12. Items for pickup at your home or business should be placed at your mail box for your letter carrier who will deposit them at the Post Office collection point for delivery to the food bank. Any questions may be addressed to Postmaster Kern at 628-3441.
