Seaford Events
Thursday, May 29, 2003
The Grandpajammers have been jamming at their home base, the Seaford Senior Center for several years. The group has entertained with their toe-tapping sounds of the 20s, 30s, and 40s music at hundreds of Delmarva events. The band grew out of one formed to celebrate DuPont Nylon’s 50th anniversary at Seaford. They scanned the geriatric scene and collected a group of 10 jammers. The Grandpajammers now number 4-9. A notable 1991 addition was Delmarva’s First Lady of Song, Helen Brady Lind, who has performed professionally in the Wilmington-Trenton area. Helen has given the band class as well as diversity. The date is Monday, June 2, at 7 p.m. in Gateway Park in Seaford. This group you will not want to miss.
