River of Life hosting evangelist
The River of Life Christian Center in Greenwood will host evangelist Nick Kinn from Brooklyn Park, Minn., June 11 and 12. He will speak on Friday, June 11, at 7 p.m. and have a workshop on Saturday, June 12, from 1-4 p.m. He will lead the worship service on Sunday, June 13, at 11 a.m. The center is located at 17 West Market Street in Greenwood. St. John’s bus trip to see ‘Noah’
St. John’s United Methodist Church is sponsoring a bus trip to “Sight and Sound” in Strausburg, Pa. on Thursday, July 15. The cost is $54. The show “Noah” starts at 1 p.m. with dinner at 4 p.m. Call Ruth Rhoades at 629-9466.

Christ Church Baseball Trip
Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel, is sponsoring a trip to see the Phillies play the Atlanta Braves, Friday night, July 9, at 7 p.m. The cost is $35 which includes the cost of a chartered bus. Part of the ticket price goes to support youth ministries. Call 875-4233.

World Harvest Church
The Northpointe Tabernacle, at the Delmarva Convention Center on US 13 in Delmar, will host “Remnant” and worship leader Ronnie Harrison from World Harvest Church in Ohio on Sunday, June 6, at 7 p.m. Remnant is the drama, dance, and stomp team ministry of the World Harvest Bible College.

Derwin War, God Chaser
Appearing at Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel, Derwin Ward, worship leader for Tommy Tenney & the God Chasers, will teach Saturday, June 12, at 7 p.m. and Sunday June 13, at 11 a.m., and then again at 7 p.m. His teachings will guide us through the steps of pure and intimate worship. Derwin is not only the worship leader for Tommy Tenney’s ministry but he is also leading worship at the Living Stones Church in Alvin, texas. He has made many appearances on the TBN Network PTL. He and his wife Terri have two daughters and have been in full-time ministry for 23 years. They have traveled to more than 20 nations leading worship and preaching the Gospel.
Vacation Bible School
Trinity United Methodist Church near Trap Pond will be holding a Vacation Bible School promotion on Sunday, June 6, from 10 - 11 a.m. This year's V.B.S. theme is Construction Inc., in the name of Christ. Participants will build their own pizza, make their own sundae, make a craft, sing songs, and enjoy the fellowship. Registration for V.B.S. will take place following the promotion. Church of the Nazarene
On Sunday, June 6, at 4 p.m., Pastor Morris Redden and congregation from Collins AME Church, Snow Hill, Md., will be at the United Church of the Nazarene, 4718 Jackson St., Hurlock, Md. On Sunday, June 13, at 4 p.m., Pastor Jennings and congregation from Tabernacle of Praise, Seaford will be at the church.

St. Luke’s summer schedule
Beginning Sunday, June 6, there will be one service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Seaford with Holy Eucharist at 8:30 a.m., after which we will gather in the churchyard for visiting, and lemonade and cookies. This is an opportunity for members and friends from both services to come together. June 6 is also the day for the annual parish picnic which will be held at the home of Ann and Hank Newton. Cordy Barnes is continuing work in the Church Community Park across the street from the Parish House. He is working toward his Eagle Scout badge. A new sign has been hung over the entrance, painting of the “carousel” and clearing of all the overgrowth and brush. He plans to finish in early June.

Sisterhood Seminar
Take My Hand Ministry, Inc., will sponsor a Sisterhood Seminar on Wednesday, June 9. The guest speaker will be pastor and evangelist Sadie Brunson of Wilmington. The morning session is held from 10 a.m. -noon. A covered dish luncheon will follow. Drinks and paper products are provided. The afternoon session convenes from 2-4 p.m. A free will offering will be taken for the speaker. The Sisterhood Seminar will be at New Birth Christian Center on Addix Avenue in Greenwood. A $5 registration fee is due at the door. Checks are made payable to New Birth Christian Center. Continuing education units are available. For more information contact Dr. Michaele S.
