Laurel Library Doll
The Laurel Public Library is raffling a bridal doll donated by Laurel Councilwoman Terry Wright and Radiant Dolls to benefit the New Century Capital Campaign. The doll is on display at the library. Tickets are one chance for $1 or six chances for $5. The drawing for the doll will be held at noon on Monday, June 30, at the Laurel Public Library. You do not have to be present to win. All proceeds will benefit the building of the new Laurel Public Library.
Charity book signing
The Laurel Public Library will host an Author’s Book Signing event on Sunday afternoon, June 22, featuring Johnny Janosik who along with wife Mary Louise, will sign copies of his new book, “Back to the Basics, The Johnny Janosik Story.” All proceeds from the sale of the books will go to charity, including the Laurel Public Library Capital Campaign. During the event, the Janosiks will present three area students with special educational scholarships, awarded by the Janosik Family Charitable Foundation. The book signing will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
