Trinity UMC plans trip
Trinity United Methodist Church, Bridgeville, is sponsoring a trip to see “Daniel” at the Sight and Sound theater in Lancaster, Pa., on Friday, Aug. 9. Tickets are $53 for adults. Call 628-9902 for details.

Chapel to take trip to theater
A bus trip to the Sight and Sound Living Waters Theater in Lancaster, Pa., for the show, “Abraham and Sarah,” will be Saturday, June 29, sponsored by Chaplain’s Chapel, Bridgeville. Historic church tour set
The Laurel Bicentennial Committee, in conjunction with St. Philip’s Church, will sponsor a church bus tour Saturday, June 29, 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The tour will depart from St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, at 601 South Central Ave., Laurel, and will visit Green Hill Church (1743) near Whitehaven, Md.; Spring Hill Church (1773) near Hebron, Md.; St. Mark’s Episcopal Church near Delmar, Del.; and Laurel’s Old Christ Church (1773). Blades UMC plans trip
The Blades United Methodist Church is again sponsoring a cruise as a fund-raiser. Participants will travel by chartered motor-coach on Sept. 28 to New York City and then on to a one-week fall foliage cruise through New England and Canada. Church plans youth day
The annual Youth Day Celebration services will be held at East Clarence Street Church of God, Seaford, on Sunday, June 30, at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dawanda White, minister at Macedonia United Methodist Church, Dames Quarter, Md., will speak at the morning service. Clarice Moyer, minister at the New Beginning Church of God, Kent Island, Md., will speak at the evening service and the choir from her church will perform. The East Clarence Street Church youth choir, Spiritual Light Choir and the Unity for Christ Team will perform in these services.

Church to mark 30th year
Epworth Fellowship Church’s 30th anniversary will be celebrated Sunday, June 23, at 9 a.m. The church will hold one service featuring singing by its choir and praise team. Carl Vincent will speak and a video showing the church’s history will be shown. For more information call 875-7995.

Shiloh to host hymn sing
Shiloh Community Church will host a hymn sing Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. Singers will include: Tammy Whaley, the Ol’ Time Gospel Singers and Just Forgiven. Refreshments will follow the singing.

Union Church plans dinner
Union Church, Bridgeville, will hold a dinner in its fellowship hall Wednesday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu will include garlic chicken over linguini or shrimp scampi, broccoli, rolls and key-lime or strawberry pie. Cost for adults is $7 and for children 10 and under, $3.50. The fellowship hall is located at 2 N. Laws St., Bridgeville, (across from the bank). Proceeds will benefit the church.

Melson Church plans social
Melson Church, east of Delmar, will hold an ice cream social Saturday, June 29, at 2 p.m. Oyster and chicken salad sandwiches, hamburgers hot dogs, peas and dumplings, homemade ice cream and cake will be available. For more information call 846-0428.
