Harley-Davidson Delmarva Bike Week Sept. 9-15
Salisbury and Wicomico County are becoming a part of Delmarva Bike Week. WinterPlace Park, located across from the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, home of the Delmarva Shorebirds on Route 50, will be the site of Bike Week’s most prized addition for 2002 … The Moving Wall. The mobile tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in the Vietnam War will be a part of Delmarva Bike Week, arriving Sept. 9 and staying through all of Bike Week until Sept. 15. Delmarva Bike Week organizer and vice president of The Harley-Davidson Shop of Ocen City, Benet McCormick, has picked WinterPlace Park as the venue to host The Moving Wall for a variety of reasons.
Wicomico County’s enthusiasm for hosting The Moving Wall made the decision easy for organizers. Spuck Bennett and Benet McCormick met with the Wicomico County Recreation and Parks director, Gary Mackes, who not only welcomed the chance to host this national tribute, but to host the participants of Delmarva Bike Week as well. For more information regarding The Moving Wall’s visit to the Delmarva Peninsula call The Harley-Davidson Shop of Ocean City at 410-213-0444.
