Take My Hand Ministry sixth annual charity auction, Saturday, Aug. 7. Preview from 9-10 a.m., and bidders on the go may negotiate a price with auctioneer Tommy Tucker of Greenwood, at Greenwood Memorial VFW Post #7478 on Governors Avenue. Proceeds benefit TMHM’s needy client fund. All donations are tax-deductible since TMHM is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization. To make a donation contact Dr. Michaele S. Russell at 349-4220. Airport Committee Meeting

Lewes Antique Show
The 46th annual Lewes Antique Show and Sale, sponsored by Bethel United Methodist Church, held in fellowship hall, 4th and Market streets, Lewes, July 8, 9 and 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be dealers from Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware, who will be selling everything from dolls and jewelry, silver and glassware to furniture. The hall is air-conditioned and handicap accessible. Lunch will be available. Admission is $4 per person. Call 645-9426.

Children’s story hour, 11-noon
Children, five and older, are encouraged to attend this fun-filled hour of reading a nature-related book, and afterwards participating in a craft.

Discover the Bald Cypress canoe trip, 10 a.m. Limited to 20. Cost is $10 per person.
Birding by pontoon cruise at 2 and 3 p.m. Binoculars will be provided. Pre-register by calling the nature center at (302) 875-5163. Tours meet at the boathouse. $3 per adult and $1.50 per child age 12 and under.

Teams, sponsors needed for Kids’ Bowl-a-Thon
Teams and sponsors are needed to support the upcoming Bowl A Strike and Spare the Kids Bowl-a-Thon taking place on Friday, Aug. 13, at the Seaford Bowling Lanes at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Teams of five bowlers ($50 per bowler) are needed to participate in the event. Lane sponsors ($100) are also needed. There will be door prizes, music and a live auction at 8 p.m. For more information contact Karen Schreiber at 628-3789 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Swim lessons are on tap at Boys & Girls Club
Swim lessons are available at the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club for youth ages three and up from July 12 to July 30, Monday-Friday. Phone Theresa Harrison at 628-3789 for more information and cost. Kid aerobics classes are also available. Afternoon and evening sessions are available.
Camping out is part of Kids Day Celebration
The Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club will celebrate National Kids Day on Saturday, July 31, and Sunday, Aug. 1, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. with a family camp out on the grounds around the club, 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford. There is no charge and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 25. Membership is not required but all participants in the event must register by July 23 by calling the club at 628-3789 and asking for Karen Schreiber. Snacks and breakfast will be provided. Activities are scheduled throughout the night including Family Olympics, a family splash party, food donated by Applebee’s, an inflatable slide, movies, and more.
