Teen Talent Night at Greenwood Library
On Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m., the Greenwood Public Library will host a Teen Talent Night at the Greenwood V.F.W. as part of its teen version for the Summer Reading Program. Kids age 12 and up who would like to showcase a talent are encouraged to contact Miss Donna at (302) 349-5309. Each participant will be given 10 minutes to perform magic, play an instrument, sing, etc. Stop by the library to fill out an entry form and get more information about show time. The show is free and open to the public, and is sure to be a wonderful evening of local entertainment suitable for the whole family. The Bridgeville Historical Society and the Bridgeville Lions Club will sponsor four community concerts in the Bridgeville Historical Society Park on Delaware Avenue in Bridgeville this summer.
Citizens Hose Fireman’s Band from Smyrna will perform on Wednesday, July 30.
The final summer concert will be a performance by the Milford Community Band.
Each concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket.
Greenwood Library Fun
The Greenwood Public Library 2003 Reading Program, “Laugh It Up @ Your Library” is open to young people preschool age and older, with a special teen version for kids 12 and up.

Clinic to look at diabetes
Royal Missions and Ministries, an outreach of the River of Life Christian Center, Greenwood, is sponsoring a series of bimonthly clinics to address a variety of health and nutrition issues. A clinic on diabetes will be Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. Admission is free. The center is located at 17 West Market St., Greenwood. Call 349-9420 for more information.
Union plans summer school
Union United Methodist Church, 2 North Laws St., Bridgeville, will hold vacation Bible school, Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. Call 337-7409 for further information.
Charity auction set for Aug. 2
The fifth annual charity auction sponsored by Take My Hand Ministry Inc., Greenwood, will be Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Greenwood Fire Department, US 13.
Bids on items will be accepted from 9 to 10 a.m. At 10 a.m., auctioneer Tommy Tucker, Greenwood, will sell all the remaining items.
This year’s auction includes new and used items, collectibles, antiques and home crafts.
Refreshments and baked goods will be sold.
Donated items (excluding clothing and appliances), baked goods and cash contributions are tax deductible. All proceeds will help poverty level clients of TMHM obtain necessary items (food, fuel, medicine, etc.) that their limited incomes cannot cover. Contributions can be sent to Take My Hand Ministry, P.O. Box 900, Greenwood, DE 19950.
