Laurel Public Library Summer Reading Program
Thursday, July 29, 3 p.m. - “Rags to Riches,” a touring theatrical group, will perform “The Frog Prince.” Families with children of all ages are invited to enjoy the performance, which is funded by the Friends of the Laurel Public Library. Thursday, Aug. 5, 3 p.m. - The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theater will perform “Robin Hood.” Families with children of all ages are invited for an afternoon of entertainment. Sponsored by the Friends of the Laurel Public Library. Saturday, Aug. 7 - Last day to record books for the Summer Reading Program! Remember - now you earn a trip to the Treasure Box for every FIVE books you read. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 6:30 p.m. - End of the Summer Reading Program Party. Come and get a free book and prize. Antique Fair Aug. 14
An Antique Fair will be Saturday, Aug. 14, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., sponsored by Delaware Avenue Antique Emporium, Laurel. Vendor spaces available for antiques, collectibles, and restoration specialists. Lunch will be available on site. Call Rhonda Tingle at 875-6833.
Annual Ride for… KIDSAKE
Laurel Police Department in conjunction with Harley Davidson of Seaford is in the process of organizing the 2nd Annual Ride For… KIDSAKE. The Ride is a benefit motorcycle ride to raise money for The Children’s Advocacy Center of Delaware, a non-profit organization dealing with children who have been the victims of sexual and physical abuse. Saturday, Aug. 28. All motorcycles welcome. Registration at Harley Davidson of Seaford, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Registration is $10 per person. Ride will start at Harley Shop, go 70-80 miles, then return to the Harley Shop for food and entertainment.

Class of 1974 Reunion
Laurel High School Class of 1974 plans 30-year reunion for Friday, Nov. 26. Call Paul McGee at 302-841-9126 or Vonda Spearin Calhoun at 302-346-7665, ext. 22. We need addresses of classmates in order to mail out a letter with details of the reunion.
