Charity Auction
Take My Hand Ministry sixth annual charity auction, Saturday, Aug. 7. Preview from 9-10 a.m., and bidders on the go may negotiate a price with auctioneer Tommy Tucker of Greenwood, at Greenwood Memorial VFW Post #7478 on Governors Avenue. Proceeds benefit TMHM’s needy client fund. All donations are tax-deductible since TMHM is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization. To make a donation contact Dr. Michaele S. Russell at 349-4220. Clothes, appliances, and sports equipment are not accepted. Checks should be made payable to: Take My Hand Ministry with “charity auction” on the memo line. Refreshments and baked goods available.

Peach Festival in Wyoming
Wyoming Peach Festival, Wyoming, Saturday, Aug. 7. Activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. around the Old Railroad Station including crafts, entertainment and food vendors. Peach Dessert Contest winners announced at 2 p.m. Dessert contest applications available at Wyoming Town Hall, Witt’s Market and Fifer’s Orchards. No admission charge.   Antique Tractor Show
The First State Antique Tractor Club annual show at Yoder Farms in Greenwood on Sept. 24 and 25. Admission and parking are free. There will be antique tractors, cars and trucks, flea market, and entertainment on Friday and Saturday.
