Delaware National Bank holds fund raiser
The staff of the Laurel Branch of Delaware National Bank will have an outside event on Saturday, Aug. 7, from noon to 5 p.m., to raise money to benefit the American Heart Association and to increase community awareness of the fight against heart disease and stroke. The event will feature food and drinks, a yard sale sponsored by the branch staff, a dunking booth, and for the kids — clowns, balloons, and face painting. Harley-Davidson of Seaford will be providing a display and a raffle to benefit the American heart Association. The following businesses are lending their support and resources: Seaford Ice, The Pit, Stroehman’s Bakeries, Pepsi distributors, Frito-Lay, Harley-Davidson of Seaford, Randy and Anne Lee, and Pat Short, Anna Huffman and Connie Duman.

County Advisory Committee
Sussex County Advisory Committee for the Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities meeting, Aug. 16, at CHEER Community Center, Georgetown, at 10 a.m. All meetings are open to the public.   AARP Widows Group Meeting
The Seaford Chapter of the AARP-Widowed Persons Service meet on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 12:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral. All widowed persons of all ages are invited to attend.
