Scouts Helping Family
Troop 90 Laurel Boy Scouts will have a benefit car wash, bake sale and yard sale on Saturday, Aug. 14, to benefit the Robert Dechene family. Dechene has adult Muscular Dystrophy and other related health problems. The event starts at 8 a.m. at Chet’s Auto Body Shop on north Central Avenue. The event will also help local scouts earn their Eagle Scout honor. Dechene is a former Eagle Scout.

Antique Fair Aug. 14
An Antique Fair will be Saturday, Aug. 14, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., sponsored by Delaware Avenue Antique Emporium, Laurel. Vendor spaces available for antiques, collectibles, and restoration specialists. Lunch will be available on site. Call Rhonda Tingle at 875-6833.

Annual Ride for… KIDSAKE
Laurel Police Department in conjunction with Harley Davidson of Seaford is in the process of organizing the 2nd Annual Ride For… KIDSAKE. The Ride is a benefit motorcycle ride to raise money for The Children’s Advocacy Center of Delaware, a non-profit organization dealing with children who have been the victims of sexual and physical abuse. Saturday, Aug. 28. All motorcycles welcome. Registration at Harley Davidson of Seaford, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Registration is $10 per person. Ride will start at Harley Shop, go 70-80 miles, then return to the Harley Shop for food and entertainment.
