Annual Ride for… KIDSAKE
Laurel Police Department in conjunction with Harley Davidson of Seaford is in the process of organizing the 2nd Annual Ride For… KIDSAKE. The Ride is a benefit motorcycle ride to raise money for The Children’s Advocacy Center of Delaware, a non-profit organization dealing with children who have been the victims of sexual and physical abuse. Saturday, Aug. 28. All motorcycles welcome. Registration at Harley Davidson of Seaford, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Registration is $10 per person. Ride will start at Harley Shop, go 70-80 miles, then return to the Harley Shop for food and entertainment.

Basket Bingo on Aug. 19
Basket Bingo, benefiting Relay For Life, sponsored by The Bank of Delmarva, will be at the Salisbury Moose Lodge on Thursday, Aug. 19. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., games begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, 50/50, raffles and refreshments will be available. Tickets can be purchased at any Bank of Delmarva location or by calling Lindsey Tressler at 410-896-9041 ext. 131.

Golf tournament
The first annual Golf Tournament, hosted by Trinity Transport, Inc., on Sept. 12, to benefit the American Cancer Society. Registration at 8 a.m., shot gun start at 9 a.m., at Deer Run Golf Course, Berlin, Md., four-man scramble format, $60 per person. All proceeds go to the 2005 Relay For Life (Western Sussex County). Italian Night Dinner Sept. 11
Saturday, Sept. 11, “Italian Night,” 4:30-6:30 p.m., eat-in or carry-out spaghetti dinner including salad, bread, drink, dessert and live music for $7 donation. Tickets must be purchased in advance, call 629-7177 or 337-9607. Bethel United Methodist Church, west of Seaford near Oak Grove.

Phillips Crab Feast
The Friends of Vance Phillips annual crab feast and watermelon extravaganza, on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m., at Cypress Point, Trap Pond. The cost is $25 for adults, children under 14 are free. Call 875-1143 for more information and to reserve tickets.

AARP Chapter 5340
AARP Chapter 5340 to meet Monday, Sept. 13, at Sussex Pines Country Club in Georgetown with lunch at noon. Linda Rogers will be speaking about the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Antique Tractor Show
The First State Antique Tractor Club annual show at Yoder Farms in Greenwood on Sept. 24 and 25. Admission and parking are free. There will be antique tractors, cars and trucks, flea market, and entertainment on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday there will also be a petting zoo, tractor games, a kiddie pedal pull and an auction. As always there will be plenty of good food. CHEER 5th anniversary dinner dance
The CHEER Community Center will hold its fifth anniversary dinner dance on Saturday, Sept. 11. The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. with the cocktail hour followed by dinner at 7 p.m. In-house caterer Seasonings Catering is providing the food. The dance will be 8-11 p.m. with music provided by The Cruzers, with a variety of music including oldies, country and rock. There will also be a silent auction to benefit the CHEER Community Center.
