Sharptown Carnival ends this Saturday
The 76th Annual Sharptown Firemen’s Carnival is running now through Aug. 24. Grounds open at 7 each night. Plenty of Delmarvelous food is being served. Plenty of free parking. There will be nightly entertainment, games and attractions. The fairgrounds are located at Md. 348 and Md. 313, Sharptown.

Senior Living Expo
More than a dozen vendors catering to the needs of senior citizens will be displaying at the Senior Living Expo on Friday, Aug. 23, at the CHEER Community Center, Route 9 and Sand Hill Road, east of Georgetown. The focus of this event will be to introduce to senior citizens the different living options available in the surrounding area. The public is invited to enjoy this expo free of charge. It will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more information call 854-9500.

Christmas Spectacular
Nanticoke Senior Center is hosting a trip to Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre in Wilmington, to see the Christmas Spectacular, on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 9 a.m.We are offering a matinee which includes a delicious meal and desserts. Tickets include admission, buffet lunch and motor coach transportation. Sign up early for this show. Cost to members is $55, non-members is $65.
Adult Plus+ trips
Fall travel options offered by the Adult Plus+ program at Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus, Georgetown, can take you from nearby attractions to exotic overseas locales. AARP Chapter meeting AARP Chapter 1084 meets Thursday, Sept. 12, at 1:30 p.m., at the Methodist Manor House. “Spirit of America” — a trip across the U.S.A. via slides and music will be presented. Visitors are welcome.
