Nazarene elder to speak
A fellowship service featuring Elder Ryan Brown of Chestertown, Md., will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, during the 11 a.m. service, at United Church of the Nazarene in Seaford.

Trinity to host hymn sing
Trinity United Methodist Church, Dublin Hill Road, Bridgeville, will host a hymn sing Sunday, Aug. 25, at 2:30 p.m., in the church grove. The Gospel Gents, Everett Warrington, Bob Littleton and the Rev. Dan Walker, will perform.

Church plans dinner
Union United Methodist Church, Bridgeville, will have its Union Station Dinner Wednesday, Aug. 28, 5 to 7 p.m. The menu will include ham, potato salad, corn on the cob, green vegetable, deviled eggs, sliced tomatoes and dessert. Cost for adults is $6; $3 for kids 10 and under. Proceeds will benefit the church.

Jericho Fellowship to meet
Jericho Fellowship International will hold a dinner meeting at the Dairy Bar restaurant , 511. E. King St., Seaford, Tuesday, Sept, 10, at 7 p.m. Pastor Art Doakes will be the speaker. Gospel sing set for Sept. 21
The 13th annual old-fashioned gospel sing will be held at the Delmar Park on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Performers will include Jim and Patty Jeannette, the Smith Family Singers and the Brewer and Sherrill families. There will be children’s activities including Tim and Connies’ Wagon Train and Sister Jennette’s Puppet Show. Refreshments will include Mrs. Eleanor’s Famous Oyster Sandwiches. Yoga classes at church
Christ United Methodist Church, 510 South Central Ave., Laurel, is hosting yoga classes conducted by Amy Ash. Pre-registration is not required. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7 till 8 p.m.
Church plans Birthday Rally
Mt. Calvary AME Church, Concord, will hold a Birthday Rally and Gospel Concert Saturday, Aug. 24, 6 p.m. Performers will include Rosemary Martin, the Homecoming Choir, the Inspirational Choir of Quantico, Md., Soul Generation, Henry Fields and the Steppers of Dickerson Chapel AME Church. Church of God plans yard sale
Clarence Street Church of God, 744 Clarence St., Seaford, is holding a yard and dinner sale Saturday, Aug. 24. The yard sale will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dinners will be sold from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu will include crab cakes, fish, chicken and dumplings, baked chicken with dressing, greens, cabbage, string beans, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, rolls, sodas, lemon meringue pie, potato pie and assorted cakes.

Gospel concert planned
Richard and Judy Sheriff will perform gospel music Sunday, Aug. 25, 7 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 805 Atlanta Road, Seaford. The Sheriffs are active members at Grace and have sung at a number of churches and events around the area and in North Carolina.

Ninety & Nine to meet
The Ninety & Nine will hold its quarterly dinner meeting at the Seaford Golf & Country House, Seaford, Monday, Sept. 9, at 6:30 p.m. The Ninety & Nine is a ministry which was formed in 1984 by a group of women who care about the needs of others. There is no membership dues and all women are welcome. Cynthia Holloway, speaker and soloist from Asbury Methodist Church, Salisbury, Md., will be featured. He talk will be titled, “How to Forgive the Past and Press On.” Reservations are necessary. Church to hold 9/11 service
The Rev. David Archibald, pastor of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Millsboro, and Saint Martin’s in-the-Field, Selbyville, will conduct a memorial liturgical service on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at noon at St. Mark’s. St. Mark’s is in downtown Millsboro. For more details, call 436-1914.
