Dress code for Seaford discussed - The Seaford School Board was given a presentation on the state test scores and discussed a new district dress code policy which would include uniforms for grades K-8. Page 2

Teens charged with manslaughter - State Police Monday, Aug. 19, at around 10 a.m., arrested Melvin J. Vickery, 14, and Trey H. Dunning, 15, for the drowning death of 13-year-old Harold A. Crump of Blades. They were both arrested for one count of manslaughter. Page 4

Report released on cause of death - State health officials have determined that the cause of death of a 14-year-old Blades boy was the result of a blow to the chest. Medically, the cause of death is listed as a homicide, since it was cause by a blow from another youth. The Attorney Generalís office at presstime had still not determined if criminal charges would be filed. Page 5
