Delmar Public Library News
Delmar Public Library (most especially Miss Pam, the children's librarian) would like to thank all the children and their parents who participated in the summer reading program this year. The response to Miss Pam's programs was outstanding and very enthusiastic. Miss Pam will be taking a short, well-deserved break. The regular children's programs will not be held on Wednesday morning, Aug. 29, or Thursday night, Aug. 30. The regular children's schedule will be resumed on Wednesday, Sept. 5. The sign-up and attendance was double the amount of previous years. More than 200 children signed up with 160 of them completing and receiving their certificate. The turnout to the summer reading program party held on Thursday, Aug. 16, was tremendous. "All the children and parents seem to really enjoy the food, especially the yellow watermelon," said Sandy Scott, director of the library.
