Fall back into fitness
Do the next right thing! Make that time to re-energize, get fit and have fun with new and old friends. Classes held in air-conditioned comfort at St. John’s U.M.C. Fellowship Hall, (sponsored by St. John’s but open to the public). This session runs for eight weeks: Monday. Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m. (Free quality child care) and Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 p.m. Beginners to advanced participants are welcome in this co-ed, non-competitive, muscle-toning, stretching/hi-lo aerobic class. Seaford High School Class of 1977 is looking for classmates for the 25th Class Reunion. Meet the candidates
The public is invited to meet this year’s Republican candidates in the meeting room of the Seaford District Library on Porter Street on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. There will be time for talking with the candidates on a one-to-one basis and a few minutes for each candidate to address the audience. Judge William Swain Lee will pay tribute to the losses suffered just one year ago in the terrorist attacks. Some patriotic music will be offered. This program is sponsored by the Seaford Republican Women’s Club. Mary Boggs will preside. Refreshments will be served. There is no charge.
Seaford library hours
The Seaford District Library announces it has new hours. The library will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

Senior center activities set
The Nanticoke Senior Center serves coffee every day from 7 until 10:30. Planned activities are:

Thursday, Aug. 29 - 10 a.m., indoor games and activities; 10:30 a.m., Bible study with Leslie Pettier; 1 p.m., peer sharing group; 1 p.m., shopping at Food Lion and Wal-Mart.

Friday, Aug. 30 - 9 a.m., pinochle and bridge; 10 a.m., indoor games and activities; 10 a.m., shopping at area yard sales; 1 p.m., bingo.

Monday, Sept. 2 - Center closed for Labor Day.

Tuesday, Sept. 3 - 10 a.m., indoor games and activities; 10:30 a.m., post office and banks; 1 p.m., shopping at area shops; 1 p.m., movie.

Wednesday, Sept. 4 - 9 a.m., pinochle and bridge; 10 a.m., indoor games and activities; 10 a.m., Blue Cross representative; 10 a.m., Legal Aid representative

Thursday, Sept. 5 - 10 a.m., indoor games and activities; 10:30 a.m., Bible study; 1 p.m., peer sharing group.

Friday, Sept. 6 - 9 a.m., pinochle and bridge; 9 a.m., CHEER Senior Day at Trap Pond; 10 a.m., indoor games and activities; 1 p.m., bingo. Early pick up.
