DelDOT planning meeting in Sussex - In preparation of the Delaware Department of Transportationís FY 2005-2010 Capital Transportation Program, the Department will be hosting a series of joint Council on Transportation and Metropolitan Planning Organizations public meetings. The Sussex County meeting will take place on Thursday, Sept. 11, in the Conference Room of the DelDOT Administration Building in Georgetown. A workshop will take place from 6 to 7 p.m., with public comments being taken at 7 p.m.

Annexation election scheduled in Seaford - The City of Seaford will hold a special Annexation Election on Sept. 8, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the City Hall Annex on High Street. The election will determine the request by property owner Jay Dolby to annex about 176 acres of commercial and residential lands into the corporate limits of Seaford. The property includes Dolbyís farm and business and is located northeast of Seaford, adjacent to US 13 and Old Furnace Road.
