TOWNE Fair tops attendance despite rain. Karen Bongard, event coordinator for the 9th annual Towne & Country Fair, said that this year’s event was the best ever. “When you have vendors running out of food early, that’s a good sign attendance is up,” she said. Bongard said at least 10,000 attended this year, and the crowd could have been much higher. The fireworks were cancelled because of the rain, but will return next year. “We are planning a two-day event for the 10th anniversary next year to include a circus,” Bongard said.
