SHS Alumni meeting
The Executive Committee of the Seaford High School Alumni Association will meet tonight Sept. 5, at 7 o’clock at the Boys and Girls Club on Virginia Avenue. All Alumni members are urged to attend.

Art Reception at library
The Seaford District Library will be hosting an Art Reception featuring the best photographs from members of the Eastern Shore Camera Club on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. For questions and information please contact the library at 629-2524.

Rise ’n’ Shine Breakfast Sept. 12
The Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce will hold a Rise ‘n’ Shine Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., at the Market Street Pub, 16 N. Market St., Blades. The cost per person is $8 (including gratuity). There will be a two-part presentation by Hal Wallach, co-founder of the Sussex Health Council. “The Big Picture: Health Insurance - Where’s it Heading?” and “Care First - Why Should We Be Concerned?” This is one program you won’t want to miss. Health insurance has been named the biggest concern for business owners in our area. Let’s take a closer look at the problem and ask questions about possible solutions! Seaford AARP chapter trip planned
Seaford AARP Chapter is hosting a 7-day motor-coach trip to St. Augustine, Jacksonville and Savannah, Oct. 27-Nov. 2. Cost will be $420 per person, and includes transportation, accommodations, 10 meals and more. Reservations must be made by Sept. 12. For information or reservations, call 629-7419.
