TRIAD meets on Fraud
The Western Sussex County TRIAD will hold its next meeting on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m., at the Nanticoke Senior Center located at 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford.
The TRIAD organization is comprised of citizens and law enforcement working together to ensure for the safety and quality of life needs of senior citizens.
The topic for the next TRIAD meeting will be Credit Card Fraud. All members of the community are invited to attend the TRIAD meetings.
The TRIAD meetings are normally scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Nanticoke Senior Center.
Elks host Bingo every Wednesday
The Seaford Elks Lodge has Bingo every Wednesday evening beginning promptly at 7:30. Join us for our new format. Cost is $40 for each regular game. More specials. Food available from our kitchen.
SDPR bus trip to Longwood Gardens Sept. 15
The Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation is planning a bus trip to Longwood Gardens for Saturday, Sept. 15. Longwood Gardens is a beautiful place to visit and see such a wonderful array of flowers and other interesting sights. Costs are: adults, $23; young adults, ages 16-20, $19; children, ages 6-15, $15; and children under 6, $13. Prices include tickets and transportation on a motor coach. Bus leaves back parking lot of the high school at 7:30 a.m. and will return at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are limited to 46 - first come first served.
Fallon hosts Garden Party Sept. 15
State Rep. Tina Fallon invites everyone to attend her Garden Party Fundraiser, on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Party will be at her residence, Deerford on the Nanticoke, which is off Old Meadow Road.

Open House held Sept. 16
The public is invited to tour the used-to-be post office and about-to-be Seaford Museum on High Street in downtown Seaford on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.
This will be an as-is open house giving all an opportunity to observe the ambitious project being undertaken by Seaford Historic Society. Comments and suggestions about how this historic building can best be adapted to a state-of-the-art museum will be gratefully received.
The Grandpajammers will entertain. Refreshments will be served. There is no charge.
SHS Class of 1976 seeks classmates
The Seaford high School Class of 1976 is planning their 25th Reunion for Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Blades Fire Hall. It will be a catered dinner with a live band, "The Funsters," for dancing the night away. Seaford Lions Golf Tournament Oct. 5
The 3rd annual Seaford Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, Oct. 5. Proceeds will help support the club's community projects such as providing eye exams and glasses, scholarships, and assisting other needy and well-deserving causes.
The tournament will be held at the Seaford Golf and Country Club with a 12:30 shotgun start. The format will be a two-person, better ball of partners, with net and gross prizes. All golfers must have a valid U.S.G.A. handicap or play scratch. An entry fee of $75 per person will include: lunch, golf, cart, golf shirt, golf balls, cash prizes, a chance to win a new car, and more. The first place team for both net and gross will win $400 cash, second place will be $300, third place $200, and fourth place $150.
