Seaford annexation passes - Seaford voters on Monday approved a request by property owner Jay Dolby to annex about 176 acres of commercial and residential lands. The property includes Dolby’s farm and business northeast of Seaford, adjacent to US 13 and Old Furnace Road. The vote was 17 for and 3 against in the city and 1 for a 0 against in the area to be annexed.

32-year-old drowning victim - A 32-year-old drowning victim was pulled from the Nanticoke River Tuesday. Seaford Police said the victim had been under water for about 13 minutes after diving into the water near the Seaford Boat ramp. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
