We send our get well wishes to Wayne Medford, who had surgery on his shoulder on Sunday, Sept. 8. He was working at home on a ladder when he fell and fractured his shoulder.

Get well wishes to Allen Reustle who is home from Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, after having a mild heart attack. I hear that Allen is doing great.

Calvin Keller is home from having a bypass. If you would like to send Calvin a card his address is 32977 Private Lane Trussoms Pond Road, Laurel, DE 19956. We hope Calvin will be back on his feet soon.

We send our deepest sympathy to Pamela Gregory Cronk, whose husband, Shawn Cronk, passed away on Aug. 23. They were in the process of building a new home on Stage Road and moving back to Delmar.

A World Trade Center survivor will speak at Asbury Methodist Church, located behind the Salisbury University, Saturday, Sept. 21, starting at 7 p.m. Admission will be $2. As he was coming down the stairs from his 42nd-floor office, he passed firemen coming up. When he finally reached the revolving doors to walk out, he heard a crack of thunder and when he looked up he saw the tower coming down and saw a light. To find out what that light was, you will have to attend the service. I would recommend getting there early.
Boy Scout Troop 174 will have a chicken barbecue Saturday, Sept. 14, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wilmington Trust Bank in Delmar. The Scouts are starting a new year and looking for new members that like to camp, learn new skills and have fun. If there are any boys that are 11 years old and would like to join the Boy Scouts, please call Bob White at 875-2843.

Mark your calendar for St. Stephens Church fall festival at Camelot Hall in Delmar on Sept. 28, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will lots of good food, crafts, etc.
