is raising funds for new building
The Rock Church of Seaford will host an auction Sept. 18, 7:30 p.m.
at 1005 Norman Eskridge Highway in Seaford.
Items to be auctioned will include NASCAR memorabilia, dolls, Beanie
Babies, furniture, television, a raspberry shell afghan, baked goods,
dinners and baskets. In addition there will be a free concert beginning
at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Rock Church building fund.
Christian festival is scheduled for Oct. 2
A Christian Festival will be held in Collins Street Park, Stein Highway,
Seaford, Saturday, Oct. 2, noon to dusk. The festival will include
food, speakers and a gospel concert by “By Dezign.” Sponsor is the
Christian Community Council and chairman is Allan Holloway.

Women’s Day Revival set for Sept. 16-17
Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, Concord, will host a Women’s Day Revival
Sept. 16 and17, 7 p.m. The Rev. Janet Jenkins, St. John AME Church,
Wayne, Pa., will speak.
Mt. Calvary will also hold its annual Women’s Day Sunday, Sept. 19,
11 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. The Bishop Catherine Camper of United Bible Deliverance
Center, Laurel, will speak.

Seaford CROP Walk is recruiting
The Seaford Ministerium is sponsoring the Seaford Area CROP Walk on
Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. The 5K and 10K walks will start in the parking
lot of West Seaford Elementary School.
CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) is a program established by
Church World Service. Area church communities organize walks in which
the participants seek pledges for their efforts.
All money raised is given to Church World Service. Seventy-five percent
of the money raised is used to fight hunger in more than 80 countries.
The remaining 25 percent is returned back to the community. The Seaford
Community Food Closet and the Seaford Revival Center Mission have
been chosen to receive the local portion.
