LHS Class of ‘93
Laurel High School’s Class of 1993 is planning its 10-year Class Reunion. The Reunion will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, at the American Legion Home in Laurel. Invitations have been mailed, but the committee could not locate the following classmates: Jennifer Belong, Greg Bernal, Crystal Ferrell, Katina Fooks, Michael Greene, Sam Hastings, Chauncey Kellam, Kenneth LeCates, Martin LeCates, Tracy Matthews, Carlos Mitchell, Christina Morris, Bodny Olivince, Jason Pfeilmeier, Traymane Savage, Twana Stanley, Melody Thornton, Nikki Webb, Albert Wooteers, and Ami Zimmerman. Laurel Class of 2004
The Laurel Class of 2004 will be holding a chicken barbeque as a fundraiser on Sept. 27, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. It will be held across from Bargain Bills on Route 13. Tickets will be $5. If you want a ticket see a senior or call Laurel High School (875-6120 ext. 240).

Delmar hosts genealogist
Delmar Public Library will have Cindy Schmidt as a guest on Tuesday, Sept. 30. She will be speaking about Genealogy and help interested persons trace their family tree. She will be back again on Oct. 21.

Laurel Class of ‘83

‘Star Search’ Contest
“Star Search” Talent Contest, sponsored by Laurel New Century Club, will be Nov. 8, at Centenary Methodist Church, Market Street, Laurel, at 7 p.m. Cost: $10 for show and dessert. Prizes for first place, $300; second place, $200. Entrance forms are available from Suzanne Layton, 203 W. 6th St., Laurel, DE 19956, 875-7809. Entrance fee for contest is $10. A rehearsal date is set for Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. Centenary Church downstairs. Accompaniment music will be available if needed. One rehearsal singers - dancers - comedians - Magicians - instruments - skits. Benefit Laurel Library Building Fund.

Whaley Family Reunion
Time again for the Whaley Family Reunion of Harvey B. and Laura Whaley. It will be held at Trinity church on Phillips Hill Road in Laurel, on Sept. 28, at 1:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish and a beverage. If you have a family photo you’d like to share, bring that along.

Parent Workshop
A workshop will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5-8 p.m., presented by the Parent Information Center of Delaware, “The SMART Individualized Education Program (IEP).” Learn how to develop an effective IEP for children who receive special education services.Location at Laurel Public Library, 101 East 4th St., Laurel.
