Seaford High School Class of 1977 is looking for classmates for the 25th Class Reunion. Seaford Band Association
The Seaford High School Band Association will be holding its next meeting on Monday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. in the band room of the Seaford High School. Band and chorus parents are needed. We will be discussing future football games, concerts, competitions, trips and fundraisers for the marching band, jazz band, concert band and chorus.

Seaford Library celebrates 100 years
The Seaford District Library is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding during the month of October. There will be a variety of programs offered:
  • On Oct. 3 - Kick-off Celebration from 2-6 p.m.;
  • Oct. 8 - Cultural Program.
  • Oct. 14 - International Festival 6-8 p.m.
  • Oct. 26 - Childrenís Program and wrap-up, from 1-3 p.m.

Bike-a-thon riders will help fight cancer
Ron Breeding is calling on Seaford residents to join the St. Jude Childrenís Research Hospital Wheels For Life Bike-a-thon slated for Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. at West Seaford Elementary. Volunteer workers and riders are needed for this Bike-a-thon to raise funds for the world famous research center in its battle against childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. The age groups are: high school and above, fourth grade through eighth, and third and below. Entry forms are available at all school offices, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and City Hall. Anyone wishing to provide a prize, sponsor a rider or participate in the ride may call Ron Breeding at 629-3964 or 628-6002.
Tai Chi for Arthritis
Nanticoke Senior Center is offering a Tai Chi for Arthritis Class on Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. with Dr. Bob McBrien. The class will teach the fundamentals of the flowing movements of Tai Chi, breathing control and calmness found in meditation and strengthening movements. Cost $50 for members of the center, $60 for non-members. Please contact the center at 629-4939 for more information.

Aerobic Classes offered at St. Johnís
Fall Back into a fitness routine. Take time to re-energize, get fit and have fun with new and old friends. Classes held at St. Johnís UMC Fellowship Hall, sponsored by St. Johnís but open to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. Free quality child-care on Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Beginners to advanced participants welcome in this co-ed, non-competitive, muscle-toning, stretching/hi-low aerobic class.
