Bridgeville bat program
The Bridgeville Library will be holding a family program on Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. The program will feature Tonyea Mead who will answer all of the questions you have been afraid to ask about “Bats.” The program will be held behind the library in St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Storytime in Greenwood
Storytime at the Greenwood Library features a new face. Join Donna Prine and her pre-school friends every Wednesday at 10:30 for stories, songs and activities chosen to spark a love for reading. For more information, call 349-5309, or stop by the Greenwood Library which is located at the corner of Market and Mill streets, next door to the Post Office.

Homecoming at Woodbridge High
Woodbridge High School will host its annual Homecoming activities this weekend in Bridgeville. The parade will step out at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18. Bands, fire companies, and class floats are only a few of the attractions. The parade will leave from behind the high school and proceed down Edgewood Street, to Laws Street, to Delaware Avenue, to South Cannon Street. It will disband at Passwaters Field. The football game against the Smyrna Eagles kicks off at 7:30 p.m. During half-time the band will perform one of its award-winning field shows for the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen. On Saturday evening a semi-formal dance will be held in the cafeteria. Athenian Nights is the theme. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The weekend is under the direction of the Student Council including officers Tara Jones, Cynthia Exantus, Anastasia Pettyjohn, Nicole Youse, and Kristen Ryan.
