SVFD Basket Bingo
The Ladiesí Auxiliary of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., will hold a Longaberger Basket Bingo on Thursday, Oct. 23, starting at 7 p.m., at the Seaford Volunteer Fire Hall at the corner of King and Cannon streets in Seaford. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be 20 games for a chance to win a basket or one of the other items, such as a Longaberger tumbler set or mixing bowl. Each player will receive a chance to win the large hamper or small wash day basket, along with other door prizes. Advance tickets are $20 per person, $25 at the door. Refreshments will be available. Christ Lutheran Church, at the corner of Shipley and Spruce streets in Seaford, will host an Oktoberfest Sunday, Oct. 26. The festival is free to all and will begin at 12:30 p.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Features will include German food, childrenís games, live music and comedy. Downtown Parade
Seaford Halloween Parade, Wednesday, Oct. 29, 6 p.m. line up, step-off begins at 7 p.m., from One Cedar St., Dr. Wolgangís office parking lot , to High Street, to Arch Street to King Street and ends at Firehouse with party and judging. Sponsored by the Downtown Seaford Association. In case of rain there will not be a parade and the party and judging will start at 7 p.m. at the firehouse.

Halloween party
There will be a Haunting Halloween Party for all children who are age three through 12, at the Seaford Elks Lodge on Thursday, Oct. 30. The Elks Lodge is located on Elks Road, north of Seaford, just off US 13. The fun will begin at 7 p.m. There will be Spooky games, refreshments, and prizes given to the funniest, scariest and most original. Bring your children, grandchildren, or neighbors kids out for a fun evening. The Lodge hopes to make this an annual event. For details call Janice Cecil at 875-3810.

Fitness Classes
Classes start up again on Monday, Nov. 10, and Tuesday, Nov. 11, at St. Johnís United Methodist Fellowship Hall (sponsored by St. Johnís but open to the public). Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 9 a.m. (morning only, free quality child-care); and Tuesday and Thursdays, 5:30 p.m. Beginners to intermediate participants welcome in this co-ed, non-competitive, muscle-toning, stretching/hi-lo aerobic class.
