PPP ‘Mornings at Seven’
“Mornings at Seven” a wonderful comedy that delves into the relationship of a family living in small town America, circa 1930, will be performed by Possum Point Players on Nov. 2, 3, 9, 10, at 8 p.m. and Nov. 4 and 11, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $11 each with seats available for seniors and students for the matinee performances only for $9. A dinner/luncheon theatre will be held on Nov. 4, with the theater doors opening at noon, dinner served at 12:30 and the show starting at 2 p.m. Tickets for the dinner/luncheon and the show are $32. Indoor Yard Sale & Fair
An Indoor Yard Sale & Community Fair will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club, Seaford. Doors open at 7 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. A Health Exhibit will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Domestic Violence information will be available. There will also be kids games, refreshments, door prizes, and free admission. A Longaberger Basket Raffle and Quilt Raffle will take place. Tables are $10 for one and $15 for three — 100 plus tables are expected. This is sponsored by Soroptimist International of Seaford. Phone 629-8789 for table reservations or more information.

‘Our Town’ Musical Nov. 3
Milford Chapter-Barbershoppers present “Out Town” a musical extravaganza featuring the best quartet and choral music performed by the First State Harmonizers and Sweet Adelines. Seaford and Milford High School choruses are special guests, and International Qualifiers “Good Time” quartet from Northern New Jersey. Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at Seaford High School, curtain 1:30 p.m.; and Milford High School, curtain 8 p.m. Advance Sales $8, General Admission $10.

‘Sentimental Journey’ show
On Friday, Nov. 3, 6-9 p.m., “Sentimental Journey” Dinner Show with Foot Light Productions join Foot Light Productions Dinner Show for the CHEER Community Center when they present their salute to some of the best songs of the 40s. Take a trip down memory lane with the “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Elmer’s Tune” and many more of the big band era. Cash bar will be available. Cost of tickets is $15. Nanticoke Sportsmen’s Club
The Nanticoke Sportsmen’s Club, Seaford, will host its last week, 2001 Fall “Jackpot” Wobble Trap League, Wednesday night, Nov. 7. Sign up starts at dusk. Last sign up at 9 p.m. sharp.

AARP to hear Keene
Seaford Chapter #1084 of the American Association of Retired Persons will meet at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 1:30 p.m. Guest will be Ralph Keene, local photographer, with his program, “Delmarva Birds and Their Songs.”

AARP Chapter membership
Seaford Area AARP Chapter #1084 is an organization of more than 300 members. It meets once a month (September through June). Meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist Manor House’s Fellowship Hall, 1001 Middleford Road in Seaford. Annual dues are $5. You must be a member of national AARP to join. You’re invited to join us at our next meeting, Thursday, Nov. 8, at 1:30 p.m., at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford. Acorn Club meeting Nov. 8
On Nov. 8, the GFWC-Acorn Club will hold its annual Presidents Luncheon in the RJ Riverside Restaurant, 300 Delaware Ave., near Laureltowne. The social time starts at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at noon. Acorn Club guests will be the presidents from the 12 Sussex County clubs, who are members of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the officers of the Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs and the past presidents of the GFWC-Acorn Club. The entertainment which will be introduced by club music chairman Lillian Deputy, will be Sara McWilliams, a member of the Laurel New Century Club, who sings with the Delaware Tri-County Chorus Singers. She will entertain with song and harp.

Blades to celebrate
Veterans Day Nov. 9 The Town of Blades will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Blades Park on Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. Following the ceremony refreshments will be served at the Blades Community Hall on West Fourth Street. All are welcome to attend.

Christmas Bazaar and Bake
The Nanticoke Senior Center will be holding their annual Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale on Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Senior Center, 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford. Holiday crafts and baked items will be for sale. Stop by to see our Attic Treasures for sale. The Senior Center is taking donations of handmade crafts, baked items and “treasures.” They may be dropped off at the center after Oct. 31. Call the center at 629-4939.
