CPR classes available at Delaware Tech

A variety of classes in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are being offered this fall at Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus, Georgetown. “CPR for Family and Friends” classes are designed for lay rescuers such as schoolchildren, family members of patients at risk, and those who want to learn rescue skills in case of a family emergency. Separate classes teach adult CPR, infant & child CPR, or CPR for all ages. Those who require a course completion card, such as daycare providers and lifeguards, should sign up for the “Heartsaver” courses. Skills covered include both mouth-to-mouth ventilation and rescue breathing using barrier devices.
