Bi-Staters’ Coffee Talk
The Greater Chamber of Commerce held a banquet Saturday night to honor Charles Truitt as Delmar’s Citizen of the Year. There were family, friends and political leaders who all thanked Charles for all he has done over the years for Delmar. Lisa Ellis, Jeannie Loyd and John Johnson, members of the Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce, did an excellent job of organizing this year’s event. The dinner was prepared and served by House of Sweets of Laurel. Harry “Bunky” Naugle was the master of ceremonies and the Rev. Dr. John T. Randolf gave the invocation and benediction. Everyone had a great time and it was a great celebration to honor Charles Truitt.
Friday night, Haley and Evan Barrall entertained around 20 of their classmates to a Halloween night of ghosts and goblins at the home of Connie Wickam. They bobbed for apples, played egg on a spoon, and had fun playing games. Afterward, the girls had a sleep-over.
